About Midwest Frenchies

Since my husband Danny retired from Maytag, he has taken up farming our home place where we also have a cow/calf operation.   That is his full time job but his part time job is to help me with the little darlings.

We have three children who have all grown up and left home.

Heather, 38, lives in Cedar Rapids with her husband, Mike.

Kristie, 36, lives in Indianola with her two boys, Keenan and Kobey.  Keenan is 11 and will be going to Middle School this fall.  He is a straight A student and loves his video games. He also loves football, basketball, and baseball.  Kobey, 9, is our miracle baby.  When he was 5, he was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma and had to have his right leg removed.  He has been cancer free for two years now. He isn't crazy about school, but he loves sports and is very involved with the Indianola Swim Team, played baseball this summer, and played flag football last fall.  He wants to play regular football this year, but I'm hoping his mom says "NO!".

Nathan, 33, also lives in Cedar Rapids with Angela and his son Blake who will be 2 in December.

When the kids left home, I got that 'empty nest' syndrome and started to fill the nest with my four-legged babies and have become quite content.  My babies make me very happy and oh the love that they give back is unexplainable.
