Buyers Responsibilities

Have the pup examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours from time of puppy pick up to validate this contract.  Buyer(s) are required to obtain a written analysis from Buyer(s) chosen vet at time of  this vet check to be sent by mail to seller within 10 days no matter what the findings.  Failure to have puppy vet checked within the 72 hours will result in the Buyer(s) accepting the puppy "as is" and this guarantee is null and void.  There will then be NO GUARANTEE whatsoever on puppy/dog.  Should the puppy be determined to be in a life threatening condition, at the time of this vet check, and the cause of the illness is clearly attributed to the Seller, the puppy may, upon a written diagnosis from vet who performed the examination, be returned for another puppy of equal value, determined by the Seller.  Any vet's diagnosis shall be subject to confirmation by a vet chosen by the Seller.  Notification of the illness must be made to the Seller within 24 hours of this inspection.  If Buyer(s) does not return the puppy alive, within 48 hours of this vet check, there will be no replacement and Buyer(s) accepts puppy "as is".

It is necessary for the Buyer(s) to complete the schedule of inoculations on time, in order to protect the puppy's health, and for the guarantee to remain valid. It is expected that the Buyer(s) will have yearly exams for the puppy including heart worm, fecal examination, and all vaccinations required by your vet.  Buyer(s) is responsible for all vet charges at all times.  This guarantee shall become null and void if the puppy is given any vaccinations within 7 days of purchase and/or if puppy is sold or given to another party.

This puppy is guaranteed for 6 months against fatal and life altering congenital diseases which adversely affects the health of the animal.  This includes severe hip dysplasia, which hampers puppy's movement and requires surgery to return him/her to ambulatory state.  These would be kidney, heart, pancreas, spine and liver problems of severe life threatening nature.  If the puppy dies within the 6 month time frame, the buyer will pay to have it autopsied by a state lab, no local vet will be accepted.  Seller must be notified within 2 business days of the problem and if cause is congenital, Seller will replace the puppy with puppy of equal value, determined by Seller, as soon as one is available.  AT NO TIME WILL MONEY BE RETURNED instead of a puppy.  No replacement will be given if the puppy has been euthanized without prior written permission of the Seller.  Any physical problem which is or could be the result of injury, overfeeding, underfeeding or due to out of date vaccination records is not covered under this guarantee.  A returned puppy must be returned to the Seller in good condition, other than the specified problem, at the Buyer(s) expense.  At that time the Buyer(s) will then qualify for a replacement puppy.

This guarantee does not cover what we in the  BULLDOG breeds consider normal:  Cherry Eye, entropion, ectropion, "loose" hips or knees, allergies, soft palate issues, trachea issues, stenotic nares, inverted tails, fertility issues, parasitic, fungal or bacterial infection, respiratory infection, etc.  Buyer understands the Bulldogs are special and that special consideration must be given if buying one of these breeds.  We will not cover death if your puppy has been put under  (i.e. surgery) and has died.  Putting a Bulldog under requires a skilled and knowledgeable vet.

Seller is not responsible for medical expenses incurred.  Buyer is aware that owning a puppy means trips to the vet and bills.  Buyer understands he/she will be responsible for ALL vet bills.  Puppy has been vet checked within 72 hours PRIOR  to leaving us and found to be in good health.

As of the date of delivery, your puppy will be current on vaccinations and de-wormings as well as given coccidian prevention/treatment.  The buyer has been informed of these.  Buyer is aware that puppy will need more vaccinations and de-wormings and agrees to provide these.  Buyer understands that though his/her pup is current on the shots, more are needed to provide immunity to disease.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs UNLESS stated otherwise.  Puppy must be paid for in FULL before it leaves here.

Puppy is guaranteed against Parvo Virus and Distemper for 48 hours upon arrival to your home.  Buyer must have ELISA test performed within the 48 hours if claiming either of these viruses.

This guarantee does not include coccidian or kennel cough, both of which can be common in puppies.  Kennel Cough is usually self limiting.  Full recovery is expected and on its own is not life threatening.

A puppy showing serious signs of severe congenital defect will be replaced as follows:

  1. Animal must show defect by 6 months of age.  Seller must be notified of the   problem  within 2 days of diagnosis.  Buyer must have reports from 2 licensed vets from 2 unassociated veterinarians.  These reports must reach same diagnosis and conclusion.  Seller will replace puppy with one of equal or greater value within 12 months.  Replacement puppy is chosen by Seller.
  2. A puppy with a defect must be returned to Seller or if the situation is grave enough, euthanized with prior permission from Seller, for Buyer to be qualified for replacement puppy.  Replacement puppy will be one of equal value but is Seller's choice.  Affected puppy will be replaced within 12 months of the affected puppy being returned to me.
  3. The returned puppy must be in good condition, other than specified problem.  Buyer is responsible for all costs to return puppy to Seller.  Buyer is also responsible for costs to get replacement puppy to Buyer.
  4. No replacement will be given to Buyer  if puppy is euthanized without Seller's permission.  No replacement will be given if puppy dies and Buyer does not perform autopsy or if autopsy does not show congenital defect caused death.  Seller has the right to request puppy's remains to be autopsied by State Lab, Buyer pays for this.
  5. Any physical problem which is or could be caused by accident or injury, neglect or poor diet is not covered in this Guarantee.
  6. There is no Guarantee or Warranty that Buyer will be able to breed or show the puppy, regardless of show or breeding potential.
